Infiniti’s QX80 Concept Looks Ready To Pick A Fight With An Escalade-V.

Along with the sporty QX80 Track Spec, Infiniti also unveiled a rugged model aimed at the overlanding crowd

  • Infiniti has revealed two concept models based on the full-size QX80 platform.
  • The Track Spec concept packs a twin-turbo V6 producing over 650 hp and 750 lb-ft.
  • The Terrain Spec transforms the SUV into a luxury overlander with lift and rugged tires.

Infiniti recently unveiled the 2026 QX80 Sport, and now they’re exploring even more possibilities with the new QX80 Track Spec and Terrain Spec concepts. Both are designed for “living life to the maximum – without sacrificing style, comfort or luxury.”

Τhe QX80 Track Spec concept previews a potential Cadillac Escalade-V competitor. It features an upgraded 3.5-liter V6 engine equipped with new turbochargers and a revised exhaust. Thanks to these changes, the output climbs to over 650 hp (485 kW / 659 PS) and 750 lb-ft (1,016 Nm) of torque.

Review: The 2025 QX80 Is A Step In The Right Direction for Infiniti

That’s a huge leap from the standard model, which is rated at 450 hp (336 kW / 456 PS) and 516 lb-ft (699 Nm). It’s also right up there with the Escalade-V, which has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 developing 682 hp (508 kW / 691 PS) and 653 lb-ft (885 Nm) of torque.

Infiniti noted the concept is their most powerful vehicle yet and said the gains were “achieved using stock internal components.” Besides the new turbos and exhaust, engineers installed upgraded fuel injectors, a higher-capacity intercooler, and a ram air intake. All of this sounds like it would be pretty feasible for production, and it’s worth noting that the standard V6 was “evolved” from the legendary Nissan GT-R.

Putting the engine aside, the concept has a street-focused look thanks to an aggressive body kit that includes a front splitter, extended side skirts, and pronounced fender flares. They’re joined by unique intakes, revised fender vents, and a grille sourced from the QX80 Sport.

Rounding out the highlights are a four-tailpipe exhaust system and a sporty diffuser. The model also has a black and blue wrap as well as 24-inch wheels sitting in front of a Brembo braking system.

QX80 Terrain Spec

While the QX80 Track Spec chases the Cadillac Escalade-V, the QX80 Terrain Spec has the Lexus LX 700h Overtrail in its sights. Given its target, the model has been transformed into a luxurious off-roader.

Infiniti was coy on specifics, but the concept has front and rear skid plates as well as an increased ride height. We can also see bulging fender flares and rugged wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.

The upgrades continue with limb risers that connect to a roof-mounted platform with a light bar and a pop-up tent. These make the SUV, which features a satin dark basalt vinyl wrap, suitable for overlanding.

Infiniti Americas vice president Tiago Castro said, the “QX80 Track Spec and Terrain Spec reflect two distinct client mindsets – those who crave thrilling on-road performance and those who seek confident capability far beyond the pavement. These concepts embody Infiniti’s new, fast-to-market mindset – one that allows us to explore what resonates most with clients while accelerating our push into the premium SUV space.”
