Sponsored by Rasamny-Younis Motor Company (RYMCO), from August 30 until September 7, Rami and his climbing partner Rayan, teamed up with BZ KIDZ, a Lebanese non-profit organization and supported their mission to feed and educate children in underprivileged neighborhood, giving them real prospects for the future, as well as better academic performance.
Climbing around the world for three consecutive years, this time the two mountaineers chose to climb 6400 meters mountains in the Swiss and Italian Alps, with severe and demanding conditions, in an attempt to raise $24,200 for charity purposes.
In details, 140 children from two schools benefitted from this initiative originally kicked-off by a teacher in one of the schools who unconditionally noticed lack of nourishment which affected the kids’ performance and led to getting low results. The fundraising helped in bringing enough food for the students as well as setting up a new kitchen at one of the schools premises. Speaking of this initiative, the plan went far by building an after hour’s school program in order to help children with their homework in addition to alternative sessions such as music education, career building, and weaknesses improvement.
With this fundraising initiative proudly supported by RYMCO, the amount of $24,200 raised covers the full curriculum for the current kids in the program, allowing BZ KIDZ the opportunity to expand and help more kids around Lebanon.
